Configuring automated Imports

Who can use this feature?

Admin users / Super users and Users with Read/Write permission for Import Configuration module.

Available on Accounts with subscription to Import Configuration module 

Super users and any user with access to the Import Configuration module have the ability to establish automated file imports from an FTP location. It's possible to configure multiple auto-import setups; however, please ensure you review the limits on the number of imports specified in your plan details.

Automated imports are designed to retrieve data from .XLSX and .CSV files stored in your FTP folder location once every day.

1. Navigate to Import/Export > Scheduled import

2. Click on the 'Create New Import Config Template' to create a template.

3. Fill out the below fields 

           a) Template Name: Enter a template name

           b) Import Option: Choose 'File upload' if you want to create/update/delete Products, or select 'SKU update' if you intend to update SKU IDs.

            c) Schedule Time: Set it to 'Daily.'

            d) Provide the FTP file path, username, and password, then click on the 'Validate' button, to verify the FTP credentials. Upon successful validation, click 'Next' to proceed to the 'Map Labels' step.

4. In the 'Map Labels' section, upload the import file to associate the attributes in the file with PIMWorks attributes, and then click on the 'Save' button.

5. You can view all the configured templates in the Import Configuration summary. Here, you have the option to edit or delete import configurations, and you can download files directly by clicking the download icon.

Input file must be located in the FTP folder specified in the template for the automated import process to function correctly.
