Who can use this Feature?

Super users with write permission for Attribute level access control module.

Available on Accounts subscribed to Attribute level access control and User Management.

Before configuring attribute-level restrictions, you need to create user roles.
PIMworks comes with two default roles: 'Admin' and 'Default.'

1. Click on the Settings icon

2. Under User Management, select Attribute Permissions  .

3Select a User profile and click on the Action against each channel.

  • By default all attributes will be in “Read and Write” mode.
  • You can modify permissions individually for each attribute  by selecting 'Hide' or 'Read.'
  • To make bulk changes for multiple attributes, select them, and then use the group edit icon to set permissions collectively

4. After making the desired permission adjustments, click on the 'Save' button.

Attributes like SKU, Product Name, and Product ID cannot be set to 'Hide.'

Attribute-level restrictions are applicable to system attributes like Storefront, Channel, and Visibility

For Example

If a user role has read-only access for SKU, they cannot create or update any product.

When an attribute is set to 'Hide' for a user role, that attribute becomes invisible and uneditable for the user through imports or APIs.
