Cloning Products

Who can use this feature?

Super users and PIM Users with permission to  Product List / Product Detail module.

Available on Accounts with subscription to Product List / Product Details module.

Cloning a product allows users to replicate the SKU and all the other details. With this feature, a copy of all the product details will be created, with the SKU having “copy” as a suffix to the original SKU. If similar products need to be created, cloning the product will solve the purpose. You can clone a product from the product listing page or from the product detail page

Cloning a product from Product listing page

1. From Product Listing page, select the products you wish to clone and click the 'Action' button.

2. If cloning a variant product is also necessary, activate the 'Include variants' toggle button. This is enabled by default; however, if desired, it can be switched off.

3. Select 'Clone Product' and click 'Ok'. 

4. Products will be cloned with SKU suffixed with 'Copy()' 

[Example: Test_PIM_01_06-04-2029 - Copy(1)]

If 'Include variants' toggle button is turned off, variants will not be cloned

All the product details stored against different channels and stores will be cloned

Cloning a product from the Product Detail page

1. Navigate to the Product detail page and click on the  'Action' icon, and select 'Clone Product' and click on 'Ok'

2. Products will be cloned with SKU suffixed with 'Copy'

Variants will be automatically cloned when 'Clone Product' is selected from the product detail page

You can clone up to 20 products at a time
