Configuring attribute settings at Taxonomy level

Who can use this feature?

Super users and PIM Users with Read/Write Permission for the Taxonomy module.

Available on Accounts with subscription to Taxonomy Module.


1. Click on the Settings  icon  


2. Click on the Taxonomy under Data Modeling



3. Select the taxonomies for which you want to configure the attribute settings.



4. Click on the 'Attribute Rule Configurationicon.


Configuring "Case Sensitive" for an Attribute


Case Sensitive is applicable only for "Text + Numeric" and "Text" Data Types
By default, Sentence Case is configured.


5. Select the attribute for which you want to configure the case sensitivity and save the configuration. 

6. The value for the attribute, regardless of its original case (Lower/Sentence/Proper), will be converted to upper case for all the channels and stores as per configuration.

7. Select the attribute you want to validate and click on the radio button next to "Starts with/Ends with" or "Attribute Rule" and specify the value for validation.

8. The value for the attribute will be validated for all channels and stores. The system will indicate an error if the validation is not met as per the configuration.



Configuring "Auto Enrichment" for an Attribute


System will auto enrich the data provided in the custom text box or from the source attribute selected from the assigned attribute dropdown.

1. Attribute Blank - Data will be assigned only when the attribute value is blank
2. By Default - Data will be assigned for an attribute at the time of product creation


9. Select the attribute you want to auto enrich and click on the radio button next to "Attribute Blank/By Default" and specify the value and save the config for the auto enrichment.


10. The data will be auto enriched based on the configuration in the product details page.
