Configuring Attributes settings

Who can use this feature?

Super users and PIM Users with Read/Write permission to Attribute module.

Available on Accounts with Subscription to Attribute module

1. Click on the Settings  icon 

2. Click on the Attributes under Data Modeling.

 
3. Select the 'Attribute' to add or edit the settings of an attribute.

4. Attribute group name of an attribute can be changed by clicking on the group name of that attribute. 

You cannot create duplicate attribute in the same Attribute group


5. Priority of an attribute can be set based on the attribute value's requirement. 



Default Priority of an attribute will be Mandatory


6. Type of an attribute can be set based on the Attribute's Data type.



Default Type of an attribute will be Text + Numeric.


Data Types
1. Attributes with numerical values should be assigned the Numeric data type.
2. Digital assets, such as images and videos, should use the Image data type.         If an attribute represents documents, consider using the Docs data type.
3. For A+ content and descriptions, use the Rich Text data type.
4. Attributes related to keywords and tags should be categorized under the Tags data type. 5. Attributes related to Date and Datetime should be categorized under the Date and Datetime data type


7. To add Possible Values for an attribute, click on 'Add' hyperlink for the attribute.


Attributes which has possible values will be listed as selection dropdown in the products page.


8. Value of an attribute can be configured single or multiple value.

 

Default Value of an attribute will be Single


For attributes that allow the selection of a single value, the Value setting should be configured as "Single."
If an attribute offers the option to select multiple values, the Value setting can be configured as "Multiple."


9. Min and Max length can be set for an attribute to validate attribute's value.



For numeric data type, it is the numerical range. For Text + Numeric and other data type, it is the character length. 


Configuring attribute settings for multiple Attribute in bulk

1. Select multiple attributes and click on the settings name (Attribute Group, Priority, Type, Value)

Bulk configuration of Possible value is not possible 


User can filter attributes by applying filters in attribute settings name (Attribute Group, Priority, Type, Value)


User can manage settings for Default attributes. You cannot change the Priority settings of SKU
