In PIMworks, a "Channel" refers to a specific Marketplace or sales channel through which products are sold. Each Marketplace has their own set of guidelines and those can be incorporated into the categories specific guide for the channel in PIMworks to validate your product data compliance against each channel. We call that as Healthcheck in PIMworks.
Every channel in PIMWorks can have single or multiple stores. If you want to maintain data differently at each store (based on language/region etc...) for the same product you can manage them through stores in PIMworks.

2. eCommerce Platforms
Platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, Woocmmerce and Magento that enable businesses to create and manage their own online stores with customizable storefronts. It includes all product data, such as product descriptions, images, pricing, and inventory levels, specifically tailored for the company's website.
3. Social Media Platforms
Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest where businesses can promote and sell products directly to users through social media posts, ads, and shopping features. Each represents a separate channel in PIMworks, with product data optimized for social media advertising and promotions.
4. Custom Channel/Master
In addition to online channels, the company operates physical retail stores where customers can shop for products in person. You can include product data relevant to the company's offline stores, such as store-specific pricing, promotions, status, inventory availability, etc...
