Copying data across Channel/Stores

Who can use this feature?

Super users and PIM Users with Product List / Product Detail  module.

Available on Accounts with subscription to Product List / Product Details module 

Copy data feature helps the users to copy the product information from one channel to another channel without any long conventional process. This feature can be performed from the listing page and from the detail page.

How to copy data from Listing page

Using the 'Copy Data' feature from the listing page enables the transfer of data for multiple products in bulk by selecting them simultaneously.

1. From the Products list page, select the products you want to copy data for. Click on the 'Action' button, then choose 'Copy Data'. You can toggle the 'Include Variant' option if you want to copy variant information as well.

2. Select the destination Channel and Stores to which the data should be copied. You can also choose the specific attributes to copy. The Channel Page from which you initiate this action serves as the source channel.

3. Choose Copy Action depending on whether you want to 'Update missing data' or 'Override data' for  the destination stores.

4. After initiating the data copy from the listing page, go to "Copy Data Batches" to review a summary of the copy data process.

How to copy data from Detail page

Using the Copy Data feature from the product detail page allows the transfer of data for a single product at a time.

1. Navigate to the product detail page by clicking on the SKU or Product name of the product from the Product Listing page. On the Product Detail page, click on the Action icon and select 'Copy Data.'

2. Select the destination Channel and Stores to which the data should be copied. You can also choose the specific attributes to copy. The Channel Page from which you initiate this action serves as the source channel.

3. Choose Copy Action depending on whether you want to 'Update missing data' or 'Override data' for  the destination stores.

Templates can also be saved based on attribute selection when copying data across channels. 
This feature allows users to create and save templates that specify which attributes should be copied when transferring data between channels, streamlining the data copy process for future use.

Data can be copied both from the Master channel to Non-master channels and vice-versa.

When the "Update Missing" action is selected, only the missing data in the selected channel will be copied from the source channel. 
When the "Override Data" option is chosen, all the data in the destination channel will be replaced entirely with the data from the source channel.

Once copy data is completed, the user will be notified in the notification bell icon. Once the data is copied in custom view, another notification will be triggered.

Copy data summary will display data copying operations that were initiated from the listing page. 
Data copy actions performed from the detail page won't be included in this summary, as it specifically focuses on operations initiated from the listing page for a comprehensive overview of bulk data copying.
