Copying data from Parent to Variant at store level

The 'To Variant' feature simplifies the process of copying data from a parent product to its variants within a channel. It ensures data consistency across channels by replicating the same data from the parent. This feature is accessible from the product detail page and helps minimize redundant data entry for variant products. 

How to Copy Data to Variant across Stores?

1. Navigate to the product detail page of any product. You can do this by clicking on the SKU or Product name of the product from the Product Listing page.

2. On the Product Detail page, click on the Action icon, and from the dropdown menu, select 'To Variant.'

3. In the Variant selection step, choose the specific variant to which you want to copy the data.

4. In the 'Store Selection' step, select the channel and store where you want the variant data to be copied. This ensures that the data is replicated across the chosen channel and store. 

5. In the 'Attribute selection' step, Select the attributes that need to be copied from the parent product to the variant.

6. In the 'Copy Action' step, you can specify how the copying should be performed:

• Update Missing: If you choose this option, only the missing data across the selected channel will be copied from the parent to the variant. Existing data in the variant will not be overwritten.
• Override Data: If you select this option, all the data in the variant will be replaced with the data from the source channel. This means that any existing data in the variant will be overridden

Notes:

Data copying can only occur between the parent and variant within the same channel.
