Super users and PIM Users with Read/Write permission for the Rules Engine module.

Available on Accounts with Subscription to Rules Engine module.

Attribute rules provide a way to define and enforce specific conditions or actions related to product attributes within a PIM system. These rules help maintain data consistency, accuracy, and quality by automating attribute-related processes and validations.

For instance, you can set up a rule to automatically update the "Availability" attribute to "Out of Stock" when the "Quantity" attribute equals zero.

1. Click on the Settings  icon

2. Click on the Rules Engine under Data Modelling.

Users can edit or delete a rule by clicking on the edit or delete icon, respectively. Additionally, by clicking on the 'i' icon, users can preview the rule.

Users have the ability to enable or disable a rule and set the order in which each rule should run subsequently.

3. Click '+Create New Rule' button to configure a new rule.

4. In Rule Configuration step, Provide a Rule Name and proceed to configure the rule.

Simple rule:

Complex rule:

Each rule should have a single destination attribute.
Multiple rules cannot be applied to the same destination attribute.
When configuring a rule, users cannot select attributes/operators/Values in a way that would result in an invalid rule.

5.  Validate the rule and click on the 'Next' button

6. In Channel & Store selection step, choose the channel and store you wish to configure and run the rules

7. In Apply Filters step, utilize the filter option to select products based on Taxonomy node.

8. To finalize the rule configuration, click the 'Finish' button.

Users can choose to either apply the rule to existing products or skip it, ensuring it runs exclusively for new products.
