Syndicating Products to Magento

Who can use this feature?

Super users  and PIM user with Channel subscription module access and who have subscribed to Shopify with valid API credentials.

Magento is a popular open-source Ecommerce platform that provides a robust and customizable solution for businesses looking to establish and manage their online stores. Complementarily, PIMworks facilitates the creation, updating, and management of product information within the Magento platform, and reciprocally, enabling seamless synchronization between the two.


Prerequisites

1. Channel Subscription with Valid Magento API credentials.

2. Enriched Product Information and complying to the guidelines of Magento channel

3. Channel Mapping (Non Mandatory)
    When user does not want to send an attribute (non mandatory attributes) to Magento, he can unselect the attributes in Healthcheck mapping. 


Syndication from Product Detail Page: 


Users have the ability to send an individual product with or without variants to channel/store directly from the detail page of the product.


1. From the product list page, choose for the Magento channel and store, then proceed to navigate to the detailed page of a particular product


 

User should select Visibility of the product before syndicating it to the channel

2. Click on the 'Syndicate' button to send the product information to the channel.




The 'Syndicate' button will only become enabled when the Healthcheck status is 100%


3. After the API status changed from 'Initiated' to 'Synced/Unable to sync', user will be able to download the API report and review the product status.


Product ID serves as the unique identifier assigned by the channel and is maintained within PIMworks for subsequent syndication purpose



Syndication from Product Listing Page:


Users have the capability to choose multiple products, including those with or without variants, and send them to channel/store directly from the list page


1. On the product list page, navigate to the Magento channel and store and then proceed to select the products that are intended for syndication



User can search/filter option to filter products that needs to be sent to channel 


2. Click on the 'Syndicate' button to send the product information to the Channel.


Only products that have the healthcheck status as 'Pass' will be sent to the channel


3. To access the API report, navigate to the Product > Product Batches - Healthcheck batches

 

4. Users can download the API report by clicking on the download icon located under the Action section corresponding to the input batch name


5. Once a product has been successfully sent to the channel, users will receive a notification indicating that the synchronization process has been completed.


To send an option product in Magento option group name should be either of the below related, upsell, crosssell.

Option products to be created as a product first before mapping it as option for another product.

Map option products under the specified option group name


User can manage Magento Image Properties in PIMworks with the following options
1. Type - (Base, Small, Thumbnail and Swatch)
2. Label - Text field
3. Position - Numeric field
4. Disabled - Boolean type


PIMWorks limits its product handling to simple and configurable product type.


Syndicating products to multiple Magento stores is a breeze from the Product List page. Simply select the products, click the 'Syndicate' button, choose the stores, and then click 'Proceed.' 

Users can effortlessly control product visibility across multiple Magento stores through PIMworks, using the 'Product in Website' attribute.


Managing product statuses like 'Active' and 'Inactive' in Magento is made simple with PIMworks.
