Generating Magento API credentials and adding tokens in PIMworks

Who can use this feature?

Super users and PIM Users with Read/Write permission for Channel Subscription module 

Available on Accounts with subscription to Channel Subscription module


How to generate Shopify API Credentials


Prerequisite

1. Valid Magento store
2. Access to API 


1. Log in to Magento admin portal


2. Extract the user name and password of Magento admin portal 


3. To obtain URL: Extract the Magento admin path URL as domain url


https://{domain url}/rest/V1


In case of multi Magento stores, include store name in domain URL.

https://{domain url}/rest/{store name}/V1  


4. To obtain Image path: Navigate to a product and click on the image and extract the image path from the Image URL

How to Add tokens in PIMWorks ?


1. Go to Channels > Manage channels




2.  Search for Magento and click on the '+Add' option to subscribe to the Magento channel


3. Click on the edit Description: https://s3-ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/ind-cdn.freshdesk.com/data/helpdesk/attachments/production/88021481140/original/PayKLpjineee6Aecw0UL7u8Aj9EbHjKOag.png?1688463963icon, to manage the store



4. Enter the store credentials 


PIMworksMagento
UserNameAdmin User name
PasswordAdmin Password
Path
Admin path
Image PathAdmin image path URL


5. Select the required Sync components and save the information.


6. When you click 'SAVE,' the system will validate your credentials, and if they are confirmed as valid, the synchronization process for Sync Components from Magento to PIMworks will commence


Upon saving, PIMWorks will validate the provided credentials


User can add multiple stores and provide valid credentials for each of them
