Export Configuration

Who can use this feature?

Super users and PIM users with Read/Write permission for Export Config module.

Available on Accounts with subscription to Export Config module 



Users with access to the Export Config module in PIMworks can set up automated file exports to an FTP location. Multiple auto export configurations can be created, but be mindful of your plan's export limits. 


1. Navigate to Import/Export > Export configuration



2. Click on the '+Create New Export Template' button.

Follow a 4-step process to configure the export template.



a. Template configuration:

  1. Specify a Template Name and choose an Export Format (xlsx, csv, json)

        2. Select a Date Format.

        3. Configure the Export Path (Local Folder or FTP).


        4. Validate FTP path and credentials if FTP is chosen



        5. Enable "Schedule Export" to automate exports during scheduled times.


        6. Choose whether to include headers in the exported file

        7. Enable "Catalog View" to create up-to-date online catalogs for external sharing/viewing.

        8. Optionally, include HTML tags for rich text attributes.

 

        9. Configure up to 10 rows for exporting data, each with options like Attribute, Attribute Groups, or Custom text.

b. Channel & Store selection:

        

        1. Select the channels and stores from which data should be exported. User can customize the export for each specific channel and store.



c. Apply Filters:

        

        1. Apply filters based on criteria to export selected product data.

        

        2. Filter by taxonomy nodes, status, date range (created/updated), and specific attribute values


d. Config Attributes:

        

        1. Alter attribute names in the exported data if needed.


        2. Add attribute group name if needed.


        3. Set the display order for attributes.


3. View all configured templates on the summary page.

        

4. Download data instantly using the download   icon.


5. Edit or delete configured templates as required.


6. Click on the   icon to access the catalog view, where product catalogs can be seen and shared externally.


7. Users can use the search option to find and filter the products

8. User can view the detailed view of a product by clicking on the product



9. Catalogs can be downloaded in xlsx and pdf formats by clicking on the download icon.


To view a catalog, enabling 'Enable catalog view' is mandatory during configuration


Users must have a subscription and read/write access to the 'Catalog view' module.


10. Click on the share icon in Export configuration, to obtain a link for sharing externally with other users. This link allows external users to view the product catalog without logging into PIMworks.
